New Marketing Plans :)

This last week consisted mainly of me getting progress done with my original work. As Mr. Pirtle and I talked about last week, we established an action plan of things to get done before 2/12, but more importantly, before 2/13, my next mentor meeting.

So far, I have finished my research for the chemical compositions of the makeup I wish to create. The first item of my action plan is checked off. Next, I skipped around a little with the rest of the things I had to do. While I originally wrote down that creating a basic business model with statistics on the company name, logo, and designs were the next step, I went ahead and started thinking about marketing.

Mrs. Varma and I had a brilliant conversation about the importance of stickers as a simple staple marketing technique. While it seems like they don't do much, stickers, if designed properly, could be engraved into customer's minds, which pulls them back in for more. We discussed that after designing it, even going to a lab to get the products certified of mica-free could be a good idea, appealing to our credibility of the business.

Additionally, I even got a little excited and even started to do some simple product photography with other cosmetics products I had at home. Hopefully, by preparing my marketing plan beforehand and mapping out how I plan to get ads across through social media, I have a solid action plan in the marketing aspect of my business.

This next week will be reserved for actually giving the brand a clever name, establishing a simple logo, slogan, color palette, and basic aesthetics. Hopefully, by getting all these items done by 2/12, I will be prepared enough to share with my mentor and get feedback on the progress I have made. Until then, see you!
