Blog Post #13 - 03/01/21

Due to the power outages throughout the entire state as a result of the snowstorm, all of school this past week was conducted asynchronously. For ISM, our main assignment was just to log more progress in our original work, so that's exactly what I did.

This past week, I've had to focus on the more analytical and research components of my original work, as I am trying to formulate an actual business plan which involves the campaign, funds, and my ideas for how to execute it through proper marketing strategies. I've been reading quite a few articles on different existing models, and have even been looking into how I could create a hybrid model for this idea - for example, instead of following strictly only an eCommerce or a for-profit business model, I could do some sort of a fusion; part non-profit, part for-profit, and an eCommerce as well. I've been experimenting with different types of existing models like these to see which specific hybrid model would best suit the idea I am trying to implement.

Overall, the business plan will take a few more weeks to formulate. This is the heavily researched and written-portion of the project, especially since I am mainly writing a lot of reports for this part. But I am very excited, because as soon as I complete this part, I can move onto actually creating products and designing the website. Until next time, see you!
